Back and posting
I am in Sarasota now and determined to learn to use my Portrait and Silhouette software. My first project will be a vinyl project. I am also determined to blog at least weekly. It's been so long since I posted on my own blog, because I spend all my computer time reading the blogs of others. See you really soon. Thanks for hanging in there.

Keep meaning to blog but keep forgetting.
I have been so busy since the fall of 2013 and finally will have some time to myself for a few weeks in Glorious Sarasota, Florida. We spent Thanksgiving at home, then Christmas in Fort Lauderdale with my son Chris Kuroda of Phish and Justin Beiber lighting fame, and his family. It was interesting to be in very warm weather at Christmas. Inside the house, Chris had the same lighting decorations, giant tree and all the trimmings anyone could think of, but when we went outside to the pool, even with christmas lights there, it was a shock. I don't know if I could get used to it but it was fun. Then for New Year's it was Boston, with my daughter Melissa and her family. After that we were home for a bit, but made many return trips to Boston for Babysitting weekends and other activities. I don't mind Boston, my wish is to move there if I am ever able to. Then spring break took us to Sarasota for 6days, Fort Lauderdale, for another 4 days and Miami Beach for the rest of the time. It was hectic but fun. Luckily we had decent weather. Now I have been home for 2 weeks and am leaving Saturday for Sarasota and will hopefully do tons of scrapbooking, swimming, exercising, and socializing. Can't wait. The scrapbook pages that follow are ones I did in January and April at 2 weekend crops I attended with my friends, Kristin Haas, Alex Dadio, Laura B, and Barbara Berk. Hope you like them. I am always catching up and do not scrapbook chronologically, I scrap by mood. That's it for now.

Halloween Catch UPs
I was in a Halloween mood recently so finally got the old never scrapbooked photos in my hands and started to do all of them. I still have 2 more sets to do. It was actually fun doing Halloween over and over again using my Oct. 31st stash. I had so much product to choose from. Hope these inspire someone. Maybe I'll do the same for christmas and summer pictures. I don't scrapbook chronologically, so when the mood hits me that's my inspiration. The top one and bottom one are of Alexandra, my grand daughter who lives in Florida and the middle one is Hannah, still an only child, who is in Boston. More to come.

Here are more pages done recently. some old photos some newer. hope you enjoy these ideas. please comment it does my heart good.
here's hannah loving to cook. these brownies were eaten before the photo of the finished goodies was taken. gotta be quick around these kids.
This was at Old Sandwich on July 1, 2011, during their father's birthday party. all adults so the girls decided to find fairies and build a nest for them.
hannah went to old sandwich with dad so he could practice on the putting green and driving range. She kept things in order by collecting balls and raking sand.
here's sami at the kingsley montessori end of year picnic in boston.
so sami turned 5, and the school does a birthday walk for each child. it's a wonderful ceremony and gives a special meaning to a birthday and another year of growth, physically and emotionally.
sami passing to level 3 while still 4 years old was a big accomplishment. the instructors at boston charles river aquatics think she may be the first ever at that age. such a fish.
as you can tell i love to use my cricut on all of my pages. I am a cartridge junkie. i used to do svg's but when provo craft updated the cricut to not accept them, i just stick with cartridges.

Here's Alex in 2005. I am always catching up because I don't scrapbook my photos in order. I am a mood scrapper and Easter hasn't hit me in awhile. I am still behind on Christmases but anyway I did do easter 2005 recently. just think, had I done this in 2005 give or take, it wouldn't have been using the ideas I incorporated here. learned a lot since then.

Hannah "Phelps"
Hannah has been swimming at Boston University since she was 3. She started in the "splash" class and progressed to the Level 3 group by 5. She is now trying to make level 4 which has very strict requirements of perfect free stroke style with side breathing, and treading water for 30 seconds and underwater swimming as well as diving. Hopefully she will achieve this level by the summer of 2011.
