Spring Contest Entry

Hi, Instead of the usual flowers, birds, etc for a spring theme, I used a Spring Training Game that my son in law and grand daughter (what a Dad) in 2008. Didn't win, or even come close. Oh well.

Sami turns two, Invitation_Butterfly theme.

I designed a very casual invitation for Sami's second birthday as she is a casual kid. The wording inside is very flighty keeping with the butterfly looseness and style. Hope the kids and parents like them. All have different paper butterfly (shoo...scraps) and some colored cards are different from the original idea of pink and yellow. The envelopes are all pink. These were easy to cut on the cricut using DS. Recipe for butterfly and front circle from Susan Blu, Font is Century Gothic done in Photoshop. What do you think? (click on images to see larger.)

Pink Elephant Button Entry

I printed the text before during a class using Photoshop Elements to to write in a circle and I knew I wanted to use this picture for a layout using it. . The button challenge gave me new inspiration to get it done. (Click photo to see it larger).

SCAL Contest

i purchased some stitching templates to use with the cricut to cut circles and then thread with whatever, I may use ribbon. I am going to do a circle theme. It's for a Hannah page and a contest. After I finish I will be doing Sami's invitations for her 2nd birthday party. It's a butterfly theme and SusanBlu has a great pop out butterfly card. We'll try it and see how it goes. Stay tuned.

Trike lessons not needed

To have more to do than eat out, play, swim, beach, tv and sight seeing Melissa bought a trike for Hannah during vacation. A good time to learn for a Boston kid. She learned in 5 seconds. Some mishaps but nothing stopped her.

Speed Scrap

I accidently found a web site that had something called a Speed Scrap. It started at 9pm and gave instructions of what to do every 10-15 minutes. No pictures amd no freebies, just your own stash. I tried it with some of my supplies that I tagged recently with ShoeBox and here is my result. It's Sami looking sweet as usual. Took me less than an hour. A miracle for me. Still Catching UP....I think it will always be the case. Anyway, this was a weekend, the first, that Missy and Erik left town, and myself and T-Pop took care of the "babies." Hannah had a gym class and we all went. Boy! did they work out!!!

I am so far behind chronologically on my paper scrapping and want to catch up. Here is one I did this weekend from 2007. Hannah is now 3 and still crazy for water games, pools, playing anything. Click on image to see it larger.

My daughter wanted a one page calendar so see at a glance. I used the photo template from this months creating keepsakes magazine, which I altered with the photos on each end and the calendar is downloaded from the internet.

This is Alexandra, my grand daughter and her mom, my daughter in law Rhia.  They are enjoying a time in Florida this past February.  I did this layout as a part of the course in digi scrapbooking course I am taking.  Not the different fonts, the type overlay, the quotes and the flourishes on the type.  All done by hand or should I say by me using the tools of the computer.  (Click on it to see it bigger)
